Delta 8 by Plain Jane

Those of you living in a place without access to cannabis may be longing to try things like cannabis edibles and pre- rolled joints. Fortunately, Plain Jane has come out with a few options for those who are interested in expanding their consumption experience in that manner.

What is Delta 8 you ask? It's a compound that is similar to Delta 9 THC (the THC we all know and love) that can be extracted from cannabis. When consumed, it offers a similar feeling to Delta 9 THC but is not nearly as potent. I would describe the feeling as a heavy body "high" with minimal effects on the head.

I imagine that those who don't regularly consume THC as medicine would experience stronger effects than I did because their endocannabinoid system is not saturated with THC like mine usually is.

Because Delta 8 is so new, there are very few laws surrounding it. It falls under the 2018 Farm Bill which declares that hemp can be grown and extracted in most places in the U.S. There are a few states that don't allow Delta 8, (ᴀᴋ, ᴀᴢ, ᴀʀ, ᴄᴏ, ᴅᴇ, ɪᴅ, ɪᴀ, ᴍꜱ, ᴍᴛ, ɴᴠ, ʀɪ, ᴜᴛ)

Since there are minimal regulations surrounding Delta 8, I advise you to use caution when trying out new products. There are tons of brands making Delta 8, and since there are no regulations or testing, there could be just about anything in the product.

I recommend buying from a brand that has a good reputation and that provides the testing on their products, even though it is not required. Be weary of products that don't have much information or tons of colorful branding- they are usually trying to distract you from how low quality the product itself is.
